Hi, I’m Cass 👋 Cass Travels Savvy is where I share my research, memories, tips + do’s-and-don’ts that I’ve gathered from the many countries I’ve visited over the years.
As someone whose life isn’t dedicated to full-time travel (yet!), my aim is to offer practical and realistic advice to those who also have limited time and budget BUT who still want to maximise the travel opportunities they have without too much compromise!

About me
I took my first overseas trip to Europe in 2008 at age 18. Back then, travelling from Australia was a huge deal and since that first exploration of Europe, I’ve never looked back!
I even had the goal of travelling to 30 countries by 30 years old - which if it wasn’t for covid, I would have achieved. But hey, 27 by 30 was still pretty good! I considered a new goal of travelling to every country in the world next, but failing to reach my earlier goal made me realise numbers can be a bit arbitrary….
I’ve now realised I simply want to travel where I want to, when I can and how I feel like. Sometimes I’ll revisit countries or cities or explore new ones, sometimes I’ll wait for the perfect season or just jump on a deal. One thing for sure though, I’lll make the most of it!

On any trip I take I always ensure I do some unique, local activities. I promise to always share at least 1 for every location on the blog
💡I LOVE to eat, enjoy a nice view, and a little bit of culture so my trips are often a bit of a combo of all of these rather than strictly all museums or just nature or sports
🛎️ I care about nice accommodation but I’m also not loaded! This means I put a lot of effort into finding the best value stays that feel quality, be it a hotel or an airbnb (no dorms for me though). I’ll share some of my favourites throughout the blog
💲I understand ‘budget’ means different things to everyone. I’ll share my experiences but will always try to offer a mix of options to cater to different needs and tastes.
